Tourism-led Commodification of Place and Rural Transformation Development: A Case Study of Xixinan Village, Huangshan, China

چکیده
Rural commodification with rural transformation development is a potential research agenda for geography. Based on semi-structured interviews in five times fieldwork Xixinan Village, Huangshan, China, this article examines how the township government as an actor entrepreneurialism promotes of place areas and its impact development. It was found that has drawn economic returns from different subjects tourism entrepreneurs, tourists, lifestyle immigrants by efforts commodifying real estate, creative experience, nature. accompanied commodification, showing gentrification, expansion employment opportunities women, readjustment social structure family demographic structure. industries have developed, complementing single agricultural structure, constituting mutual intersection integration among these three industries. Regarding cultural values, promoted awareness protecting ancient buildings indigenous culture, but it also brought sense deprivation community contested rurality groups. The state constantly changing, new challenges arising to revitalization case, are identified. contribution expand analytical dimension examine entrepreneurism associated it. contributes improving understanding current China.
